He insists that technology has to be globalised. He claims that technology and creativity are like: "the olympics", America has to compete with the best in the world and; therefore America has to recruit from around the world. Do you think he has forgotten that he got his beginning by stealing the ideas of a bunch of American kids, working in their garages, and patenting their ideas? Do you think Bill Gates is a good American; or is he too busy trying to be a good globalist to be a good American? I don't know about you, but I recently purchased this PC and it has Vista. Windows 2000 is definitely superior to Vista. Microsoft has become overly concerned about protecting their profits and, as a result, the quality of their products is suffering. I personally don't think that has anything to do with the lack of creativity or ingenuity of Americans. Do you? And if anyone disagrees with this question being in the politics forum, they need to pull their heads out of their seat cushions. Bill Gates is political. His proposals are political. The politicians are afraid of him and his money. This question definitely belongs in the politics forum. Nancy, I constantly hear comments like that from people like you: "Protectionism is counterproductive", but you folks never seem to give a convincing reason why you believe that to be true. why is that? Is your only belief that globalism is better, than protectionism(thanks for not accusing me of isolationism, by the way) the fact that you are profitting from globalism at the momen? Where is your patriotism? Where is your loyalty to your fellow American? Where is your foresight? Don't you understand that once all of our industry and technology is sold off the profits will end? What about the future generations? And, as I make clear in my initial question, there isn't any need to look overseas for creativity and ingenuity. America is still full of creative and ingenious people. It's just a shame that policies, such as the one's that Gates proposes, are forcing them to seek employment overseas. And Bill Gates is a genious, but not a genious as most people believe. He didn't develop the windows operating systems. He stole those ideas from his friends, who were naieve geniuses, and applied for the patents on them. His genius is that he knows how to play the system to his benefit. Regardless if it is at the cost of others. Maybe you find Gates someone to admire, but I certainly do not. I see him as a cold, calculating opportunist. The quality of his Microsoft products is beginning to reflect that he is not a creative genius. They're beginning to reflect that he is nothing more than another powerful, rich man who will do anything to protect his interests. Even at the expense of advancement. Oh Nancy, one other thing. Bill Gates did not come from "humble beginnings". His mother was a United States Senator. He attended the best schools. He grew up in the best environment. His beginnings were anything, but humble. Unlike the true geniuses that he stole the ideas for windows operating systems from.

I finished upgrading my computer, installing a new motherboard, CPU, RAM, and DVD Lightscribe. And I did it without losing my files, settings, programs...or even reinstalling XP or EVEN doing a repair installation. I'm quite proud of myself. The new computer works awesome without so much as a hiccup. But my case fan and CPU fan are both running at a constant speed of about 2800 RPM. Nothing I do can get them to "automatically adjust" to conditions. My motherboard is an ASUS M3A78-EHM HDMI and the CPU is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+. I've been trying to get the "cool and quiet" technology to work, but I don't think it is. I've reinstalled the mobo and amd drivers, and went into the bios to ensure it's enabled. I did the power options thing where you select "minimal power management"...and nothing will slow these fans down. I've even downloaded SpeedFan...and nothing...notta..zip! PLEASE HELP ME!! THE NOISE IS DRIVING ME NUTS!!

Ok so I need help with a question from my physics textbook: Lauching a satellite into orbit requires an understanding of gravitational, electric and magnetic fields. How these 3 fields are important in designing a launch. I see a psychologist myself and my educational background is psychology and my ultimate career goal is to be a psychologist working with abused children. Anyways, it would help so many patients to see a psychologist or atleast join a support group. I mean, sometimes there are things that you need to say and get out that you just cant say to friends and family. Sometimes you just dont know how to cope with whats going on. Sometimes you cant see the whole picture because you are such a wreck emotionally. I know I have atleast been in all these feelings and situations, and still deal with it today sometimes. But so much shame is placed on admitting that there is something wrong. It is so scary to think you are crazy. Most people dont understand mental illness or problems and are there fore terrified of them. There is such a social stigma. Well, you know what. We have the technology today... cont... to know that these things have very legit medical causes. Patients are not possessed or evil or witches or satan worshippers. Mental illness or problems dont make you a montsor or an alien or wrong or sinful. It means you have a medical problem that needs to be treated. Anyways, I want to do something that advocates for cancer patients to seek a psychologist or atleast a support group. I want to advocate that there is nothing wrong with getting help and everything about getting help is right. I want to advocate that there is no shame in seeking help. I want to advocate that you dont have to do it alone. There are others out there going through the same thing that can help you through it. cont I rarely see commercials advocating these things, and outside the local apa chapters that arent very active, no programs that advocate this. I would like to make a video and maybe put it on you tube, my space, yahoo videos, my personal website, ect.. But how do I get people to watch the video? I make jewelry and was thinking I could offer a free cell phone charm or bracelet or something for every person who submitted their address after watching the video. THen once I reach an x number of addresses, have a random drawing to win a really nice custom peice like a nice necklace or something. Maybe have a couple different winners and have a couple different prizes that would interest several different target groups, like a prize a woman would want and one a man would want and one for a child or a couple different colors or styles or whatever. I want some information about the conversion of solar energy into electrical enery by using solar bowl (Solar parabolic reflector) in which mirrors are used to converge the rays at one point and tehn all that heat is used to convert the water into steam to run turbine..... If i go for magnifying glass instead of mirror then will it be useful for me??? Hi, I work as an account executive at a software company in Canada. I hear that reps making 250K, 500K and even some at 800K are not too uncommon but I have never even approached these numbers. My question is directed to those who also work in technology sales and I was wondering how to direct my career so that I can also achieve these sorts of numbers. Should I be looking to work for IBM,Oracle or a big company or should I be thinking startup? Thanks

I live close to Huntsville ,Al. It is full of defense contractors, the Redstone Arsenal, etc. I am interested in having a government job. Would I be better served with a major in human resource management or general management? Of course, I know H.R will often involve staffing,training, etc. But I definitely dont want a job in retail or anything like that. Which major is more versatile and will bring me better options? Which major will generate more income in the long run? My husband is wanting to take management of technology ,but not sure its for me. Isnt that dealing with a lot of technical computer stuff?? Just looking for thoughts. I know I am interested in a Business degree(but not Finance or Accounting) Give me your thoughts. Thanks

It is a known fact that respirocytes have been proven to be a valid scientific fact for well over 9 years now. However, it is almost impossible to find any information on whether or not repirocytes have been confirmed for usage in humans. So I ask, is it possible to receive an injection of repirocytes in the US? And if so, how much would it cost, and where could it be found? and if not, then what were the reasons behind the cancelling of the research? Has it become a military secret now? Or is it simply something a concept that is too far ahead of it's time and the available technology?

Right now i just started at a community college near my home. I'm taking my general education courses. I plan to get an associates degree, then transfer to a 4 yr school and obtain a bachelors degree of something. But i'm unsure of what i want to do. I'm thinking of leaning towards the business field, or the computer/technology field. But theres a huge setback, i SUCK AT MATH! I'm in a remedial algebra course right now, and every college catalog that i have looked at requires math 151 which is FINITE CALCULUS to obtain a BS in computers or business. And i'm just wondering what i should do. I'm good with computers, and i like all aspects of business. I have taken computer and business courses in highschool, and did well in each and every class. I just need help, possibly advice from people in either field.
